daddy's training

Justin is so much more into trying to get Katelyn
potty trained. I just find it to be frustrating because
she just doesn't really want to do it yet. This picture
illustrates a Father's way of getting his child to go potty.
All you need is a good book to help you relax.

That is an adorable picture! She'll probably catch on quicker with a good book to keep her company!

I can totally understand your feelings! Go Justin if he can actually get her trained! But don't get discouraged...it's sooo normal for kids to try off and on between ages 2-3. My favorite potty training book is the one by Dr. Brazelton. Good luck!!!

Potty training cannot be rushed. The child will do it when he/she is ready. Sure, you can provide lots of encouragement and rewards, but if she's just not ready, nothing will work. One thing that does help is other kids. If you know someone who has a little girl, already potty trained, that Katelyn likes, they can go together. Peer pressure can be a positive thing.

And just when you think she's made it through potty training, she'll go on strike. It's normal. Don't worry, you won't be changing her diapers forever!

Then, just when she's out of diapers, you'll have another one in diapers. Just wait till you have to teach your son how to go in the toilet! LOL
