Sponge-Bob, LAME-pants
Alright, so yesterday I was trying to get some things done and decided I would let Katelyn watch cartoons, rather than the same movies that she likes to watch over and over...and over ("Boo" and "Me-mo"). I decided to go with Sponge-Bob, Square-Pants. I have only ever seen bits and pieces of the show and am always annoyed beyond description by it. More than being annoyed though, I was disgusted at the messages that were being sent by this cartoon. I had had just about enough of this grotesque little character and his irritating voice and rude messages. I could not take it for another second. When I went to change the channel I saw Katelyn's face as she was watching the show and she had a furrow in her brow, as if to say: "What in the world are you subjecting me to mom!?" I wholeheartedly apologize Katelyn!

i absolutely HATE sponge bob. i have never let Brinley watch it an dwhen it does come on, she usually points to the TV and makes this face like "ewww that's disgusting, would you please turn the channel". i am glad I taught her well. She WILL NOY kwatch Dancing with the Stars either because she thinks its immodest. Funny coming from a kid who won't stay dressed.
Totally with you there D. My kids have never actually watched it all the way through, but they've seen bits at friends' houses and they know it's rude. Here's the thing...I don't like that people make cartoons with sarcasm or adult humor...FOR KIDS! Speaking of kid shows I dislike...Arthur! The brother and sister are so rude to each other. Can't stand it. My kids pretty much think it's R-rated. If it comes on they start yelling "Mommy turn it off! We don't watch Arthur!!"
