our weekend

This past weekend we were kindly invited (along with one other family) to our friends' lake house on Cocolalla Lake in Northern Idaho. And what a FUN time we had! It was so beautiful and made me almost sort of miss living among the trees and mountains....almost (don't get any ideas Justin).

Friday was Katelyn's 5th birthday so we sang Happy Birthday
and celebrated with a giant chocolate cake that she picked out from Costco.

Friday evening this young moose showed up and stayed for around an hour

Saturday morning the men helped put the dock in the water and
Kimberly and I waited and waited...and waited to go for a run. When we
finally got out to get it done it started sprinkling...followed by a total
downpour of rain. We were completely soaked through!
(uh...sorry for the awkward picture :/)

Later the sun came out and we were able to enjoy Kayaking, horseshoes (which I am really bad at), BBQ and just having fun! After all the kids were in bed we got to stay up late
and play games as couples. It was fun!

one who went in for a swim.

We had such a great time spending the weekend with friends and being in such a beautiful setting. Thanks Moody's!
