Katelyn's 5th Birthday Party

We celebrated Katelyn's 5th birthday by having a huge party!
When all the kids arrived we had them contained...I mean, play in the backyard.
I had been planning this party, and more importantly, the
surprise of the party for about a month and a half. Katelyn didn't know
a thing about what was about to happen. Once the surprise arrived
I gathered all the kids in a line and led them out front.
I was so excited that we captured Katelyn's expression when she saw it!
So, what was this great surprise???

ponies!!!!!

For months and months Katelyn has been saying that she
wants to ride a horse. The thought of doing pony rides popped into my
head one day. Through some networking on facebook, I found out
about Rainbow Reins here in the Tri-Cities area. The cost was
the same as a birthday party at the gymnastics places, which have
been popular venues for youngsters' b-day parties, so I HAD
to do it! I knew she would be ecstatic!

They brought 2 ponies (Arielle and Buttercup) right to our home
and all the kids got to take turns riding them up and down the street.
The ponies were sweet and calm and the kids loved them.
