Last night we bid a sad farewell to our old faithful Dodge Intrepid. It served us really well for 132,000 plus miles. I noticed last week that it was leaking something, so we took it in to have it checked out and it turns out that it needed a new water pump. Not only that, but the AC isn't working and we spent a chunk of money last month trying to fix that. And, in March we had to pump even more money into it for another, different problem. It was going to cost quite a bit of money to fix and with that many miles we didn't feel it was worth it. I have been feeling like we probably need to think about a new vehicle, but the part that stings is that we were one payment away from paying the darn thing off. Oh well. We are a one car family and we have to have a car that is in good working condition, especially living out of town.
So...we got this Jeep. This is not an actual picture of our car because our camera is no longer, but this is what it looks like. It is a White 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I really, really like it a lot! I would have liked to have been car payment free, but sometimes you have to make choices in life. The best part is having AC that actually works.

oh fun, a new car. I hate car payments too.
Very nice. I heard that Trepid had gone the way of the world and you were out looking for a new one. This will be a nice ride for what you guys like to do as a family with your bikes and stuff. And you can "grow" into it with all Kate's siblings. I look forward to riding with YOUR AC next time.
Yeah! A/C is a must! You may have to take another road trip so I can see it.....well, actually it's my turn to come your way. :)
