Several years ago I took an interest in quilting, or quilts rather. Something about them just made me love them. I thought it would be really cool to learn how to quilt, but the idea was very intimidating seeing as how I didn't have a sewing machine and didn't even know how to sew or operate a sewing machine. Anyway, last March a friend called to invite me to take a "beginner's" quilting class. I went for it and here I am a year later considering myself a "quilter". I just love quilting. This first picture is the quilt I am working on for my bed.

Last fall I joined "MODA-U" a quilting club here at my local quilt shop. Every month you get a new block and some filler blocks to do. You don't get to see them beforehand so it's all a big mystery. These are a few of the pieces of this year's MODA-U mystery quilt. It has been fun working on these projects and I'm excited to see the final product.
