OUT BIRDS!

I am on a mission to get these birds out of our house. I've heard them in the house
every day since Monday this week. I hear them above the downstairs bathroom
and luckily for us, we just happen to have our bathroom torn apart. This allowed me to sneak
my camera above the ceiling get this picture:

(this is looking toward the back wall of the house)
Yesterday I went out back to look at the vents a little closer up:

There are 3 of these vents. The one closest to the ground is the dryer vent.
The other two are halfway up the house and this is the one by the bathroom.

This is it without the vent cover. GRRRRR!!!!!
I saw TWO blasted birds fly out of the house today! I'm not really a
bird hater, but I don't want a family setting up house in our vent.
I haven't heard any baby birds chirping, so I am hoping that there aren't any
eggs in there, but I don't know much about when birds lay eggs and when
they hatch, so that could just be wishful thinking. And this was
the best picture I could get. It doesn't show us everything.
Anyone have a scope I can borrow.

For some reason I was freaked out getting that close to the opening.
I'm not scared of the birds, they are small. I am only scared of a bird
flying out and planting it's beak in my EYE!Here's one of them. Just before I took the picture, there were 2 sitting there
poopin on my railing. They are probably wondering what the heck is happening
to their little nest. Sorry little birdies....

Don't watch "The Birds." Yikes! Anyway, I'm so sorry you are having pest trouble. I hate pests! Even cute pests! Good luck getting them out for good!

Okay, so we had this problem in our microwave vent. Toby cleared it out then put chicken wire type stuff over the hole so that it still did it's job but birds couldn't get in. It did the trick! We haven't had any more birds in 5 years!

Those are european starlings. It is one of the few birds that are lawful to kill any time you want, no license needed. Have fun. CP
