She is so fun. During pregnancy it's always fun to imagine what your child will be like. What kind of personality will they have, what will they look like, how will they be different and unique from their siblings.
We kept telling ourselves that our second child would be unruly and get into everything and probably climb the walls. Naturally, right? Because Katelyn was so well behaved and pleasant.
Well, I wouldn't say that Alaina is unruly by any means, but she definitely gets into a lot more than Katelyn ever did. We kept poisonous household chemicals under the sink the entire time Katelyn has grown up and never has she gotten into them. Not Alaina. She is constantly under the sink. Dangit! I meant to get those cabinet locks about ten times now. So far she hasn't ingested anything too dangerous. She has fallen down the stairs a total of 4 times now. No signs of brain damage yet. (don't freak out grandparents!)
Katelyn is a fabulous sleeper! A girl after her mom's heart. I confess, I require larger amounts of sleep than the average human. Alaina...not such a great sleeper. Sometimes her naps are only 20 or 30 minutes and I cringe. Nap time is vital to my sanity. I can get a few more things done, have some quiet time, go to the bathroom-ALONE.
Katelyn is and always from the very start has been a very picky eater. Make us crazy, kind of picky. She is making progress though and we are thankful she hasn't starved to death. Alaina is the complete opposite. She'll eat just about anything you put in front of her. Doesn't even take time to look at it sometimes. She is a little piglet. If she sees someone eating something, she is right there in your face. Now she has started licking her lips in this really cute way as the food gets closer and closer to her mouth. It's pretty funny actually.
Alaina loves to dance. It doesn't even have to be a good beat. Today I was practicing church hymns on the piano and she was right there gettin' her groove on.
Both of our girls have round, yummy cheeks and I could smooch them all day long.
We are so blessed to have two beautiful, healthy girls. Most days I don't feel that I deserve them. What makes me most happy is that they love each other. I hope it will always be that way.

Of course they love each other. What's not to love? Do any of us really deserve to have a few of HF spirit children? Probably not, but he trusts us with them anyway.
That's a really good story about Alaina and the peaches. You should always tell her that. That's cute.
