My indecent exposure

Uh...sorry if the last post made anyone uncomfortable. Apparently my mom was shocked that I would let people see that cast of my "NAKED BODY!" Or that I would just "lay there" and let someone do that. First of all, I only had my shirt off. Second of all, she (the one doing the cast) is a midwife so it's not like she hasn't seen a million breasts in her time. Third, she covers the breasts first, so you aren't just hanging out there. Fourth, once the material starts setting, you no longer feel naked. Lastly, this sort of thing is just not a big deal to me. It is a form of art. But sorry if it bothered anyone. Once I get the plaster coat on it and paint it, it should be less..."revealing". And lets be honest. By the time you have a baby, it feels like everyone in the world has seen you naked anyway.

I agree with you! I got more revealing than I thought I would when I had my maternity pics done by my cousin when I was pregnant with Eli.

I agree, after having babies not much is very private anymore. Anyway, can't wait to see the painted finished product!

Yup, once you've had a baby, it's not that big of a deal and those pictures didn't make me feel uncomfortable.

My mom would have exactly the same reaction that yours did, which makes me giggle! Even at my grown up age I get a kick out of 'shocking' my dear mother a bit! But hey, we're all naked under our clothes, right? I can't wait to see the finished product!

I actually think you look very radiant in this picture. I too am interested in how you will finish the cast and also, what the heck are you going to do with it? I suppose you could hang it in the baby's room, heh?

Hey, besides, dosen't your mom swim? Of course she does and she doesn't have much more covering her stuff that what you have on.

Any spelling or gramatical errors in this post is due to being awake at 7:08 in the morning.

Love you sweetie.

Well, I was totally offended. I had nightmares for days after seeing the picture! LOL

Mom is just a wee bit old fashioned.

At least you're tan!

Wow - I've heard of belly casting, but didn't really know what it was. Now I have vivid imagery of it! :) I bet your midwife was pretty bummed to miss the big event!
