Every year my family gets together for a gift exchange.
Since there are so many of us, all the adults draw names
for one another. We also have a white elephant
gift exchange. Usually everyone tries to be too nice.
This year I wanted to see some stealing, but to be
honest, these were some of the worst gifts we've had yet!

The ol' jock strap got reinstated again this year. Nice.The best part is when my step brother Allen thought
he should steal it. He says: "I got an idea for that!"

The best part of all??? Now we have an ENTIREcollection of Barney videos! My sister in law won
these, but they don't have a VCR player so I said
I would take them. There was a day I swore my children
would never watch Barney, but such is life I suppose.

Loved reading this post for two reasons:
-White elephant parties are always awesome
-I saw a lot of familiar faces in those photos!
I know how you feel about the Barney vids - I totally thought I'd never let my children watch them. Now I think - well, maybe it will help them learn shapes/numbers/sharing, etc :)

i always thought i would never allow barney in my home........but......our birthparents gave a stuffed barney and video to erik. so of course i use them and he LOVES barney. and i dont mind compared to some other shows and no i must admit i am a fan.
