Really took the plunge this year and got some canning done.
peaches (round 1. round 2 happens next week)
applesauce (more to come a bit later in the fall)
corn
pears and spiced pear jamI have gotten way more into it this year. It makes me feel good to know that I helped save us a little money. My kids love the home-canned fruit (bonus!). And I like acquiring new skills. I just wish I had a better place to store it all. That little closet underneath the stairs is getting pretty full now.

Wahoo!! I love canning! There's just this feeling of accomplishment that comes with it.
Look at all those beautiful jars! You have been busy! Found some Elberta peaches today, looks like it'll be canning day tomorrow.
