Mt Baker

Last week we took a little trip over to Mt Baker to do some camping. We met up with Corey, Sarah, Ezra and Audrey.

It was a little rainy the day we got there and then rained pretty hard early in the morning which had me a bit worried, but it passed and the weather was really nice.

The campsites were great!

It was Alaina's first time camping and we think she did really well. We ended up forgetting our air mattress and the first night was not a good night's sleep for mommy. Alaina woke up once at 4am, then went back to bed, but THEN Katelyn decided she was hungry at 4:30am and...we never went back to sleep...(yawn)

We brought the pack n' play and that helped a ton with the sleeping arrangements. Here is Alaina attacking Katelyn.

She had a good time, but it's tough camping at almost 10 months old when you can't get down and crawl around outside.

Saw some of the biggest slugs I personally have ever seen. Not a big fan.

This one Justin saw on a little hike he and they boys went on.

The whole gang

Of course, the day we left had to be the nicest out of all the days we were there. All in all, it was a good camping trip. Bake Lake is really beautiful too! I highly recommend it. After camping we went to my Dad's house in Mt. Vernon for a couple of night's.

That first picture is not or Mt. Baker, it is of Mt. Shuksan (Northeast of Mt. Baker). It was taken from the southern end of Baker Lake.

Glad you set the record straight, Justin!

Thanks for camping with us, next time we'll find a place with shower facilities? Although that shampoo job you did was amazing DeAnne!
