Into The Garden

Okay, okay...it's not really "my" garden, it's more like Justin's garden.

All the credit must be given to him, because I had almost nothing to

do with the cultivating, planting, or tending of the garden, with the

exception of grudgingly pulling a few weeds here or there. Justin does

a great job. This year we planted: corn, yellow crook-neck squash,

peas, green beans, romaine lettuce, spinach (didn't turn out well this year),

pumpkins, cucumbers, tomatoes (Roma and something else), potato,

peppers (did not grow...very sad, I love sweet peppers), and then

we have some still young raspberry plants as well.

This is our corn. Justin doesn't remember what kind it is, but it

is really pretty. The stalks are kind of purple-red. Justin picked a

few ears yesterday to see if they were ready. It was still a bit too

soon, but I shucked and cooked them anyway, and they smelled

SOOOO sweet! I am excited about having corn this year.

We've got corn growing out our ears!!! haha, get it? ears?

Yeah, it's late.

What a stud!

Tomatoes...yum! They are so delicious.

Romaine lettuce gone wild! We planted too much and it didn't get eaten.
