I know. This is a weird thing to write about, but I don't care. I have a pet peeve. And I just have to get it off my chest. I hate dirty garbage cans. Especially the ones that have lids. I was thinking about this today as I was scrubbing the lid to my garbage can clean. I do this every couple of weeks or so. I hate garbage. I hate the look of it and the smell of it and just because a garbage can is a house for nastiness, doesn't mean it has to be disgusting too.
Our garbage can is in plain sight, so I am even more motivated to clean it on a regular basis. But still. You should consider cleaning your garbage can lid once in a while, if you don't already. The more often you clean it, the less nasty it will be.
HAHAHA. OK. I am a dork, but I feel better already.

I was thinking the same thing Sarah was. You can come clean mine too while you are at it.
My mom made me a clean freak too. I can't stand garbage either. I used to have one of those cans with a lid. I cleaned it all the time until I got so sick of it, I tossed the lid and relegated that particular can to the garage. Good bye nasty lid! Those lids are nice though when you have the can in the house. You did a good job cleaning it.
DeAnne - I am IMMEDIATELY in love with your friend, Alicia...we did the same thing and tossed the lid on our's and relocated it to the door outside the kitchen that leads to the garage!! ha ha I couldn't take it anymore. (**I too am a secret-garbage-lid-scrubber..it happens to the best of us!)
