Toddler Independance

So Katelyn has been sleeping in her toddler bed lately, which I just think is fantastic. What's funny is that I think she doesn't realize that she can get out of bed on her own when she wakes up, because she still calls for me every morning. Anyway, yesterday afternoon Kate was being kind of cranky and wouldn't eat her lunch (big surprise), so I told her that she needed to go get in bed and take a nap. Of course, she said "no"...a couple of times, but I suggested it again. She did get down from the table and toddled off towards her room. A couple minutes later when I was done with lunch I went passed her room to find her actually sitting on her bed. I couldn't believe it. So, I went in and asked her to lie down and covered her with her blankets. Next thing you know, my little girl is fast asleep. YES! So, we have officially taken a nap in the "big girl" bed. I didn't know if that would happen for a while, so I was just very excited. Now if I could just figure out how to make her eat better...

A couple of other Katelyn words:

"jocka" (gotcha)
"Aiken" (Katelyn)
"comin' too" (says this every time we go somewhere and she wants to come too)
